A Fireworks Show To-Go, Please

Hope everyone had a great fourth of July. It was raining off and on all day but once it got dark the rain finally stopped. Thats Mid-Missouri weather for you.

My sister and myself took a two-hour drive to meet up with our mom and hang out with our grandma. We had a great time; when we got into town we stopped at Crossroads convenience store and ran into our cousin Andrew. He's apparently got to have surgery on the 9th and probably chemotherapy after that. He seems like he's in a good mood about it though.

While we were at grandmas Megan and myself went outside and took a few pictures since there were tons of hummingbirds out off grandma's front porch. We saw a Rose of Sharon bush with beautiful purple flowers on it and a viny flower that had a bell shape to it and was a pretty orange. There was just so much beauty on the farm. Two of my favorite pictures turned out to be of inanimate objects; a field full of hay bales and a dead broken tree next to a pond.

It was a great day with Grandma, Megan, and Mom. It was rainy so we were stuck in the house but it was definitely a blast. As Megan and myself were leaving the rain started pouring so the drive back was a little intense. Nothing too bad though, it was off and on but still a little crazy.

To top all that off, on my ride home after dropping off my sister at her house the rain tapered off and I had a great little light show going on all around me. It was amazing, although it made it a little bit harder to drive and pay attention to the road. But, when I got home I just went outside my front door watching fireworks to my left and right. It was a very good day.

Signing off for tonight, peace and love,

Kayla
