Forest Inspiration

I was just searching some forest pictures on weheartit and just had to share some I found. These pictures are so magical and inspiring.....and there is a great outdoor bed! ♥ it!

It seemed that a lot of my time spent as a child was in the forest exploring, either at my grandparents farm, a friends pasture out in the country, or around my grandmas cabin in Michigan. The forest has always been a magical place to me where your imagination can go crazy. I hope one day to own a plot of land large enough to have plenty of forest to explore...I would love for my children to be able to explore the land and make their own stories and "areas" one day. (We used to have a nice little 'fort' - just a gathering of trees in the cow pasture - we always went to at my grandparents farm in Missouri)

I can't wait to go camping and hopefully floating this summer! Is there anything that YOU are looking forward to doing this summer??

A Fireworks Show To-Go, Please

Hope everyone had a great fourth of July. It was raining off and on all day but once it got dark the rain finally stopped. Thats Mid-Missouri weather for you.

My sister and myself took a two-hour drive to meet up with our mom and hang out with our grandma. We had a great time; when we got into town we stopped at Crossroads convenience store and ran into our cousin Andrew. He's apparently got to have surgery on the 9th and probably chemotherapy after that. He seems like he's in a good mood about it though.

While we were at grandmas Megan and myself went outside and took a few pictures since there were tons of hummingbirds out off grandma's front porch. We saw a Rose of Sharon bush with beautiful purple flowers on it and a viny flower that had a bell shape to it and was a pretty orange. There was just so much beauty on the farm. Two of my favorite pictures turned out to be of inanimate objects; a field full of hay bales and a dead broken tree next to a pond.

It was a great day with Grandma, Megan, and Mom. It was rainy so we were stuck in the house but it was definitely a blast. As Megan and myself were leaving the rain started pouring so the drive back was a little intense. Nothing too bad though, it was off and on but still a little crazy.

To top all that off, on my ride home after dropping off my sister at her house the rain tapered off and I had a great little light show going on all around me. It was amazing, although it made it a little bit harder to drive and pay attention to the road. But, when I got home I just went outside my front door watching fireworks to my left and right. It was a very good day.

Signing off for tonight, peace and love,

Kayla
