Unfortunately I Will Be On Hiatus Until Further Notice....

Or about 20 days is what I'm told. I have to send my laptop - my first and only computer- in because it is plugged in and charging but it doesn't show that it is actually plugged in. I called HP and they think that something is wrong with my motherboard......damn.

Instead of looking at this from a negative standpoint I am going to make the best out of this situation - not that this is entirely detrimental or anything. I will have that much more time to focus on Christmas, presents, crafting, family, crochet (yes, I've decided to pick up my needle again), my husband, and my wonderful fur-babies. Not necessarily in that order :) I have some crafts that I would like to start and share with you all and this seems to be the perfect way to get started on all that!

I can still check my blog from work and maybe post something small, but I can't guarantee that....I don't wanna get into trouble! I will continue to read all the blogs I follow and comment on them too, I love to encourage and - hopefully - inspire!

So, if I don't get a chance to post on here, Merry Christmas everyone!

P.S. I was also thinking about coming up with a new name for my blog, something more me...I am also becoming more dedicated to this blog once I get my computer back. Once Eli joins the Navy I would like to start crafting a lot more so I can start selling on etsy and elsewhere :) Here's to dreams!

I ♥ My Shark Steam Mop

I have been eyeing steam mops since Eli's grandma got one almost 2 years ago. I was instantly hooked....I mean, how could you not be? It cleans your floor using only water, the steam gets rid of 99.9% of germs, and it dries almost instantly! I went to Target to register for my wedding and I saw it there for $60 and thought that was a pretty good price. I didn't scan it but I ended up getting two gift cards from my bridal shower that equaled $45 so I ended up just spending about $20 on this steam mop. Great deal! Here are a few pictures of the Euro-Pro Shark Steam Mop............

All pictures found via Target

This thing is a beast. I can mop the whole downstairs area of my apartment in about 20 minutes (including sweeping beforehand) and then all I have to do for cleanup is throw the pad in the washer, so easy. I don't have to keep the dogs locked in a room for almost an hour or so while I mop and I let it dry thoroughly, I just have to keep them out of the room for a moment. So great.

Anyway, just wanted to share.....this thing is amazing.....everyone should own one. ;)

This is your introductory period.

This being my first blog I would just like to introduce myself as I am new to the blogger community. My name is Kayla…..

I am 20 years old and about to turn 21. I work at a local dealership in Missouri. I’m back in the service department where everyone goes to get their cars worked on. I mainly work with guys, but I couldn’t ask for a better bunch of people to work with. Honestly, they are all easy to get along with (for the most part), very humorous, and it seems like most of them care about each other and their well-being. It’s like a family that I see Monday through Friday and sometimes Saturdays.

I moved out March 1st, 2008 with my long-time boyfriend Eli and our two dogs  - one a mix of Lab and I believe a Shiba Inu and a boxer). Those two are great, and they have so much fun. They especially like the dog park here in town and all the socializing they get there (although they just think it’s fun, not socializing!).

For the past 20 years I have lived with my mother, who is a huge influence in my life. She and my dad divorced when I was 3 years old and it’s been tough for her, but she’s kept her cool and kept us alive, in a nice house, and without need. She’s worked looooong hours and even more than one job at a time and still managed to find time to spend with us. She is truly a marvel. Now that I’ve moved out I miss her like crazy, but I’m going to learn to live on my own for the first time (and with a guy……which I’ve never had experience living with before!).

I am working full-time right now but I would like to go back to college at least part-time to get my general education classes out of the way. I would like to go to college to be an Interior Designer but I would also like to learn more about Marine Biology , that has been a dream of mine since the sixth grade. We did a project in science class on endangered animals (which was great because I absolutely LOVE animals), so I did different projects on the white tiger and the manatee. After this project the manatee was turned into a favorite of mine and I was dedicated to saving it from being extinct or endangered.

I would have to say that is more than enough rambling on about me…..
