Journal Prompts & Share Time

I am absolutely horrible at posting these very quickly. It seems that since I've started this 30 day journal I've been feeling rather crafty, which I will post about soon. Enjoy this rediculous amount of pictures :)

I HAD to use the clock my mom made for me!
Father's Day was rather eventful :)
Oh, so many memories. I brought one up from middle school even ♥

Buddha was not so good, but for a quick drawing I don't think it's half bad (especially for me! lol)

Looking at it now I realize I should add skinny jeans...or boot cut whatever they're called. Bought my first pair not too long ago.
I am absolutely loving these fonts!! I really didn't draw many other letters other than plain old block but Janel from Run With Scissors, among other bloggers, have inspired me!
A friend from work introduced me to the song "I'm Awesome" by Spose a day or so before this. I found it rather fitting :)
Lots of goals....I think I can accomplish them...of course, a few of them are on my to-do list this weekend♥
The dress is really more like dark maroon faded to light maroon...but I had a limited amount of Sharpies. I also received my heart monitor yesterday so I thought I would include that because I won't be forgetting it anytime soon.

To get this off my chest (no pun intended....ok maybe), my heart seems to be beating fast every once in a while, like it has random 'fits'. It almost feels like I'm nervous and my heart is racing, but they don't believe that it is panic attacks, which I had originally thought. I have to wear a heart monitor for 30 days in hopes that they can determine what is going on. I visted a cardiologist yesterday and I had an EKG, an ultrasound of my heart, and bloodwork done, all within two hours.

The doctor told me that this doesn't seem life threatening but we should still check this out, which I agreed to, of course. Now I have three pads on my chest, one clearly visible with all the outfits I have, and they are rather annoying. It definitely grabs attention. So far no fits but I've got 28 more days to worry about that, right? Let's hope this thing doesn't drive me crazy! Either way, I'm trying to keep a positive attitude about it :)

Anyway, on a more happier note I have been crafting like crazy since Sunday and I have LOTS of pictures to share! I'm going to MAKE more time to get on here and post them up here....I've also got a picture to post to see if anyone can help me figure out what this flower is. I bought it from Home Depot and there was no tag....but it was SO pretty. Another time, another post. :)

I am off to do some journaling, and possibly a little crafting if I have some time :)

Q & A Time

My friend Carol, over at That Is Charming has been kind enough to tag me to answer some questions! I'm starting to really feel like an accomplished blogger :)

Well, here are her questions for me, then I may do some tagging myself......or just decide to let all 4 of my followers tag themselves, lol!

1. What song is stuck in your head right now?
Well, it's weird because I really don't know the song that's stuck in my head....I had to look it up. The song is called "Whatcha Say" by Jason Derulo. It's not even the whole song, just the girls part where she says "what did she say?"....lol. I wish I could say I had a better one stuck up in my noggin....oh well. :)

2. What was the worst job you had?
The worst job I had was when I worked at BIG KMart. It wasn't that the job was horrible or anything, it's just that the working conditions weren't the greatest...like NO AC WHATSOEVER. They would give us box fans but they brought in hot air from outside since they were right by the door.....eh, could've been worse!

3. What is your favorite summer activity?
My favorite summer activity would have to be swimming. I don't get to do it a lot so I cherish it when I do. I really wish I could go swimming in the ocean again...

4. Where would you go if you could go anywhere today?
Locally - I would much rather be either home working in my garden or out at one of the local parks....probably the dog park. Then I would hit Sonic up for happy hour and maybe make a little trip downtown for a little browsing and thrifting.

Anywhere else - I would rather be in Hawaii, Tahiti, Jamaica, Florida, Michigan, anywhere in Europe, or Australia....There are a lot more places I would like to go, but I can leave that for another day, another questionairre... :)

5. What is something you would love to learn?
Needle felting! My friend Elizabeth from Sew Amore introduced me to it through a video on youtube. It is such an interesting way to create something! I think it would be a great way to make hair accessories and such...If I can afford to start doing that I will....and post about it!

6. Do you like thunderstorms or do you get nervous like I do?
Well, the night before last it was storming....I rather like it. The thunder scares the living daylights out of me, but the rain is very soothing.

7. Do you collect anything? If yes, what do you collect?
Well, when I was younger I collected marine mammal figurines....such as dolphins, manatees, and whales. I have recently started collecting sand as well...when we went to Hawaii I got some black sand along with a black, red, and white sand mixture (from a beach not too far from Oprah's home!), and I've had some friends bring sand from other places, like Pensacola Beach FL and Cozumel Mexico. Love it!

8. Tell us a favorite childhood memory.
One of the things I loved from my childhood was playing on my grandparents farm. They had cows, pigs, and chickens....it was such an adventurous place when I was a kid! We used to go out and explore the pastures and surrounding woods and even found an old abandoned barn! We had two "forts" which were really just a big cluster of trees where the animals wore out some good paths - one in the cow pasture and one in the pig pasture, where my sister and cousins and I would congregate and discuss what the days adventure would be. I always have great memories of the farm....I can't wait to visit my grandmother again so I can possibly do a little explorin'!

Well, that's quite a peek into my life. Thank you Carol for such wonderful questions! I guess I didn't have to give such big explanations, but I felt like a little trip down memory lane - if even for a short while - would be nice.

I'm leaving this to my fellow bloggers/followers, if you DO decide to answer these questions, let me know! Post a comment on here with a link to your blog and I will come check it out! I'm always looking for new blogs and this is a great way to introduce me to you as well!

30 Day Journal Challenge: First 5 Pages

I have decided to take an active part in the 30 Day Journal Challenge that Janel is hosting over at Run With Scissors. I have done a great job as far as keeping up, but it seems that I keep adding things to past pages after I look at them a day or so later. I haven't been able to post these pictures because we haven't had internet at the house until yesterday....so here goes.

Prompt 1: Introduce yourself, incorporating your name as much as possible.
Prompt 2: What's the beat part of your day?
Prompt 3: Draw a picture of someone you love and write them a letter telling them why you love them.
Prompt 4: What does you heart look like?
Prompt 5: What blogs are your favorite? It may be easier to see the writing on the top if you click on the picture, but it's supposed to look like my blog :)

These prompts are so much fun to do, I really feel that they have helped me to be more creative so far. I'm trying to stick with just black and white but I want to throw some color in just for a little 'pop'. I've been so excited to post these as soon as possible, I hope you enjoy!

How do you get your creative juices flowing??

Meet Jada Girl, Our Boxer

Meet Jada Girl a 2 1/2 year old 60 pound boxer. She likes to pose for pictures. Not kidding. Look.

She tends to sit and pose when she sees me get my camera out. My only guess as to why she does this is because I was always taking pictures of her when she was little. Maybe she's just a little diva. Maybe she really thinks that she has to pose, because she LOVES pictures.....lol.

The eyes are crazy looking but she posed fairly well!
Jada and her brother Koda...she looks like a little gremlin lol
She loves the attention
She sits like this all the time....I think she wants to sit like a human...
After I got my Nikon I was snapping pics like crazy, when I took this pic of her she had her head facing straight-forward. When I took the picture there was a red flash before and she wasn't used to it and cocked her head as it snapped the picture...priceless!
Jada posin with her dad Maddox
She jumped at the camera because she was excited at the dog park....goofy.

So there's Jada...in all her glory. I am going to have to try and include her and Koda in my blog a little more...they are my little fur babies after all... :)

Handmade Giveaway!

The lovely Claire at HeartHandmade is hosting a giveaway! I really didn't want to post this because I would really like to be the winner :), but I had to share.....for one, because it's one of the ways to be entered (don't judge me!! haha), and for two all the stuff is abso-frickin-lutely adorable!!! There's a vintage book (squee!!)  written in German, a blackboard sign and blue chalk, 3 clothespins, CUTE sheep eraser (quite possibly my fave!), butterfly magazine cutouts, and doilies!!!
How cute is all this?!?!?

I know that I don't have many followers but I still wanted to get the word out about this giveaway!! You should really check out Claire's blog too!! She's an amazing talent! Her blog is Heart Handmade, which really has some awesome handmade items! I found her through yet another blog that I follow, they featured her free recycling labels!! Perfect for me since I'm such a recycle freak! (So, all I used in this paragraph was exclamation points.....do you think I'm a little excited???)

I have fallen WAAAAY off with blogging as of late....but being without an internet connection at home kind of hinders that. Sooo....I'm doing this quick post from work and I will be getting connected to the net tomorow! Yay!

BTW, I have been brave enough to join in The 30 Day Journal Challenge on Run With Scissors. Hopefully I will be able to post pics of my pages soon!
